4th of July

We had the best picnic with Fred and Dorothy on the 3rd at the park. They are so wonderful to us. They genuinely love our kids so that makes us love them more.

There is a water feature at the park as well as the river access. We were there all afternoon. It was the best day considering what the next day brought. Buckets of rain.

This was the actual Fourth. We went to the Buhlers as they have a house on the lake and you can see the fireworks super well. There were people with their blankets and chairs camped around the lake since the early morning. About 1 pm it started to sprinkle. Most people were braving it, some were leaving. We weren't too worried because we knew we had a house to go to. But by about 6pm it was pouring!!!!! Everyone had left that were waiting outside all day and they postponed the fireworks until the next night. We had a party twice- at the Buhlers. We let off some fireworks both nights. But unfortunately I only remembered the camera the first night- when it was raining. The next night was beautiful and would have made for much better pictures.

It of course was freezing as well as raining.

The next weekend we went to the drive-in. Why are drive-ins soooo fun?!!!

This is how Amy ended up after throwing a major fit outside ruining my chance to enjoy the movie. She then fell asleep in her car seat after wiggling her way out of the seat. But at least she was asleep. She can be sooooooooooo stubborn. Oh dear.
